Little Musicians is a virtual concert that features the young philanthropists with musical talents. Each participating individual/group is required to submit a video of performance to be combined with other performances to create a virtual concert to be shown on the HKSPC Fundraising Website, HKSPC Facebook and Youtube.

 

PERFORMANCE

Performance of all kinds of instrument are welcome. Participants can perform as an individual or in a group of not more than 4 people.

 

 

 

ELIGIBILITY

All children are welcome to join. Participants will be divided into 2 groups according to the age: 

i)  below 10 years old;

ii) 10 years old and above

 

ENROLLMENT

Participants have to fill out an online application form. Successful applicants will be notified by email in 2 days after the enrollment deadline.

VIDEO SUBMISSION

Successful applicants have to submit a video in MP4, MOV or WMV format. The upload link will be announced by email individually.

FUNDRAISING

Successful applicants will be asked to submit a personal introduction and a photo (optional) to build a personal pledge page to invite their relatives and friends to make donations to support them. All the money raised will help the underprivileged children and families under the care of HKSPC.

​AWARDS

  • Each participant will receive a certificate of excellence, letter of appreciation and a 3D cartoon flash drive from HKSPC.

  • The top 3 fundraising individuals / groups from 10 years old and above group will have an opportunity to meet or play with Andrew Ling, principal violist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in a private setting*.

  • The top 3 fundraising individuals / groups from below 10 years old group will receive a special gift set.

 

​*One private coffee session or one private music working session / casual performance session together with Andrew on August 18,19,25 or 27. Andrew will determine whether it is more appropriate to do coffee or music session depending on instruments played by the winners. The attendance of the coffee / working music session is limited to the winning participant plus 2 guests only.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

  • How many videos can I submit?

Each participant/group is encouraged to submit 1 video. If you are submitting 2 videos, you will be allocated 2 personal pledge pages to collect donations separately.

 

  • Can I sing instead of playing an instrument?

Playing an instrument must be the leading element in your video. Pure vocal performance is not eligible.

 

  • Which group will we belong to if I am 6 years old and my partner is 11?

You will be allocated to the “10 and above” group. The age of the oldest group performer will be considered.

 

  • Is there a minimum on the pledge amount?

There is no minimum required. However, participants are encouraged to pledge as much as possible. The bigger the donation, the more underprivileged children and families can be benefited.

 

  • Can my parent or music teacher be the accompanist for my performance?

Yes, accompanist is welcome. An accompanist will not be regarded as a participant. However, we appreciate that the video can focus more on the young performer(s).
