HKSPC will hold the HKSPC Flag Day - Kowloon Region in the morning of 28 October 2023. We sincerely invite every organisations, corporations and passionate individuals to be part of this charitable cause!

The raised funds will be used on HKSPC's various services to support thousands of local children and families, putting the mission and belief of "Child Safeguarding" into practice.

Become individual or parent-child volunteers and choose your preferred flag selling location. Volunteer certificate will be rewarded.

Corporations, departments, friends and any groups can sell the Special Edition Flags internally on their preferred dates.

Make a donation to support the event directly. For donations of HK$100 or above, receipts will be issued for tax deduction.

 

USE OF FUNDS

 

The raised funds will be used to support HKSPC's two Children and Family Services Centres for:
 

  • Identifying the needs of families in the district, and providing services to strengthen and consolidate family functions and promote the healthy growth of children;
     
  • Early identifying families and children at risk or in need, and providing them with appropriate and timely support;
     
  • Providing comprehensive child-focused support and parent education, and promoting understanding of healthy development of children and families;
     
  • Promoting family and racial harmony, establishing community network and enhancing family life in the region;
     
  • Providing community support services including after-school care, tutorial classes and parent-child quality play corner.

FAQ

 

  • What is the age requirement for volunteer?

    Volunteer must be over 14 years old. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by their parents or guardians.
     
  • What is the procedure for becoming a volunteer flag seller?

    1/ Submit personal information and choose the preferred flag selling location in the online volunteer registration form (coming soon). 
    2/ HKSPC will send a confirmation email to successfully registered volunteers.
    3/ Volunteers will be notified of their assigned flag selling locations through email by the end of September.
    4/ Volunteers are to collect the flag bag, bag strap, flags and volunteer instruction at HKSPC's head office in October.
    5/ In the morning of 28 October, volunteers may go to the assigned flag selling locations by themselves and should return the flag bags to the flag selling stations after the event.
     
  • Can I get a receipt for buying the flag?

    Donation receipts are not issued for flag selling activities. However, for pure donations of HK$100 or above without receiving the flag, receipts can be issued for tax deduction.

*Public Subscription Permit No. issued by the Social Welfare Department: FD/R002/2023

*The Director of Social Welfare has given approval to three organisations to sell flags in Hong Kong Island region, Kowloon region and the New Territories region respectively on 28 October 2023. HKSPC is authorised to conduct flag sale in Kowloon region on that day. 

*In case of disputes, the decisions of HKSPC shall be final.
